Finals time, new work, winter break!

My how time flies. I thought I had just started the quarter! To make up for some lost time, here's a BRAND NEW COMIC!!! It's called Start paying attention.

Hope you enjoy it :) I'd like to put it either in a little collection with some other politicalopionionfeminist work that I plan on doing.
I ALSO have another comic I'm about to get critiqued, but I think I'll wait on that one til next time.
For now, see the redo I did of my regular show pin up!
Frisky Pops is frisky!
I'll be heading back to my hometown in the very near future and putting my nose to the grind stone in a different way with retail work! My goal is to get at least a comics per week done during the break...so ideally I'll have 6 new comics by the time I am ready to go back to school :D
Thanks for stopping by- stay tuned for the next update!

For shame... with a side of self exploration

Guess everyone needs a summer off sometimes, eh?
But have no fear, I didn't stop drawing. No no. I stayed in Atlanta and tried to find a job and drew when I wasn't filling out job applications. It was a summer that offered many an interesting new perspective.
And NOW! I am back in school for my last few quarters. But lets not think about that, let's take a look at what I'm getting started with.
In advanced inking, I've written a script with the working title: Happy As Me.

AND I did a pin up from The Regular Show... which I am going to redo. For sure. But for now I will post it and have it here for comparison later.
I love Pops :D
Later, I will post a few things I did over the summer...for now, I'm trying to start off strong!!
Thanks for stopping by!! <3

End of braincation and finals work!

This doodle has been very relevant, and I've been having a hard time producing new stuff what with finals ending and moving to a place in Atlanta and trying to find a summer job...which so far has been fruitless. Trying to keep my hopes up about it though!
Here are a couple of things from the end of the spring quarter at school.
Spiderman page final

black and white figure resubmission
My favorite final by far, however, has definitely been my latest original comic!

I am VERY happy with this project and how it turned out and have been thinking about selling the PDF version online since it includes the cover and all of the interior stuff. I can sell the hard copy on etsy for a little more, as well as at conventions.
Speaking of conventions- Im hoping I can make it to Heroes con this weekend. O_O
Thanks for reading!! <3

thumbviews and hatched shadows

Hello again!
Midterms are officially over and I wanted to share some of the work I have been doing most recently.
We have done a lot of thumbnails for one of my classes. I still really enjoyed picking out what I thought would make interesting compositions. The ones above had to be in black and white, and these next ones had to be grayscale.
I also had to do another figure, this time with crosshatching!
If you didn't get a chance to see, my last post was about my adventure at FLUKE! So feel free to check that out- lots of pictures to be had. I'll be posting again on wednesday with some of my more recent personal drawings. Thanks for stopping by!

environment thumbnails and lineweight work

Some of the more recent work I have been doing! (Don't wanna hand it all over all at once ;) )
I'm really enjoying playing with line weight and figuring out what interests me in an environment.

Very excited to table for the first time ever at FLUKE, this upcoming weekend!
Hope to see you there <3 Thanks for stopping by!

still alive

I'm still arting! I promise!
I've been posting my more doodle-y stuff on my new comics related tumblr and trying to save this space for bigger projects and more sequential type work... I might stop doing that because then I'm never sure what's "blog appropriate" or not, and now it just looks like I'm not producing!
And that's just not true. I promise.
I submitted to the drawn out anthology (which I am very excited about!!!) on the 28th and can't wait to see who gets in :D
I submitted the summary and my character designs
Looking forward to April 30th when we all find out!

I might be staying in GA this summer if I get a job, and I've been looking around for internships for the summer.
If I do stay around here, I'm looking forward to getting a lot of art done and hopefully having an internship and a job (as well as taking an extra class! :D )
But also, it would promise to be a big huge gay summer. With this crew:

If this gets to happen, I will DEFINITELY be doing a web comic about it, have no doubt.
Tonight or tomorrow, I will be posting up the pages of the MR. FANCY LAD comic that I did in minicomics last quarter! It's a three piece set! WOOO!

Did I mention I'm tabling at Fluke?? I'm so exited! It'll be my first time attending a convention- so watch out!
More to come very soon.

I MUSTACHE you a question, which way to the PLAYGROUND?

Here's my latest complete work that has been contributing to my lack of updating!:

First, we had to make a peripheral project in my mini comics class. Meaning, we had to make a product that tied in to our style and that we could sell at conventions, etc.
I made a "fancy lad kit": complete with mustache on a stick and an attached monocle.
a classmate (kept anonymous by the smudge tool) models my product
I also completed the mini that I mentioned in my last post!

Rather than printing problems this time, I had the misfortune of getting acquainted with a bad piece of equipment that ended up cutting some things crookedly. BUT! As always, I learned a lot and had a lot of fun making these.
I'm really pleased with how the interiors turned out. Check out these awesomely genderfluid pinups!

Eventually, I'd love to make these pinups into prints and color them. I had so much fun coming up with these!! :D I'm undecided as to I really am into the captions...but for this assignment in particular they worked well.
School will be wrapping up in TWO WEEKS O_O Holy. Moly. Where does the time go...?

Teenage mini comics

Busybusybusy!
Somehow, there are only about three weeks left in the quarter. Time flies!
Since I havent shared this yet, my first mini comic in my minicomics class was designed to be part of an anthology- around the theme "teenagers"
Here are my original pages (prior to being cleaned up in photoshop, with the exception of adjusting levels)

After this, I of course had to set it up in photoshop and print it.  The set up looked like this, and photoshop ate some of my pixels. Sigh.

Definitely a learning experience- and loving every minute of it! (Aside from the printing/pixel problems)
Next time, Gonna be showing my character designs and some other school work!
Thanks for stopping by <3
